The website of the National Erasmus + Office in Ukraine (NEO in Ukraine) contains a notice on the launch of the program for 2021-2027 for partner countries, and therefore for Ukraine. According to this information, the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture, the European Commission has provided the first news on the possibilities of international measurement of potential competitions of the EU Erasmus + 2021-2027 for partner countries of the Program. Namely – in autumn / winter 2020 it is planned to open competitions in 2021 for the following areas:
• JEAN MONNET Actions – for organizations: as applicants / grantees and partners;
• Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees – for organizations (as partners) and individuals.
Other areas of international dimension are being discussed and planned for opening in 2021 for competitions in 2022 (international academic (credit) mobility, development of higher education potential, vocational education, youth; virtual exchanges). It is reported that today 232 masters and 14 graduate students – “educational ambassadors” from Ukraine have been studying at the joint master’s programs “Erasmus Mundus” since 2014. At the same time, 40 Ukrainians (33 women and 7 men) from different regions of Ukraine will start their studies in August-September this year at European universities together with 2,452 fellows from around the world in joint Erasmus Mundus master’s programs with the financial support of the European Union Erasmus +.
From the countries of the Eastern Partnership – Azerbaijan, Belarus, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine – 950 applications were submitted, of which 115 candidates received a grant. Ukraine received the highest number of scholarships within these Eastern Partnership countries. In addition, all 2,452 winners of the 2020 scholarship competition represent 142 different countries from 6 continents, and Ukraine is among the top twenty countries this year.
