On November 10, 2017, at the Igor Sikorsky KPI, meeting was held a with a delegation from the Chonbuk National University, one of the leading universities in South Korea.
Participating in the meeting were: from the Korean side – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine Lee Young-Gu, director of the Korean Educational Center in Ukraine You Sang-Beom, professor of Chonbuk National University Cho Кwang-Min, visiting professor of the University Yevgeniya Tskhai and others; from the Ukrainian side – head of the department of foreign economic activity Andriy Shisholin and the staff of the International Collaboration Department of the University.
The framework agreement on cooperation was signed by Vice-Rector for International Collaboration, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Sergiy Sidorenko and Vice-President for International Cooperation of the Chonbuk National University, Yoon Myeongsook.
The participants have agreed to cooperate in three areas – educational, scientific and innovative.
Exchange programs, joint work on the development and implementation of distance learning technologies, development and publication of joint educational materials, joint scientific and methodological conferences, exchange of lectures from the best teachers, an organization of online conferences (webinars) with leading scholars and lecturers for students and postgraduates from both universities, etc. will be promoted in the educational area.
Scientific direction includes conducting joint research and publication of joint scientific articles, exchange of postgraduate and doctoral students, joint implementation of projects that are part of major international scientific and technical programs, promotion of information of mutual interest in research, new developments, publications and other materials and more.
In the innovative direction provides for joint activities aimed at expanding the scope of implementation of the results of fundamental, research and applied research technology orientation and commercialization of research results, marketing research to identify potential consumers of science-intensive products of the parties to the agreement (according to separate contracts), registration of scientific developments of the parties, which have prospects of commercialization.
