Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) has announced the results of the first competition of 2015 programme of the European Union Erasmus+ in the KA2 direction: Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education. Ukraine is a partner country of ERASMUS+ and has the opportunity to participate in contests available for all partner countries in the framework of the International dimension of the programme. ERASMUS+ is the European Union programme for the period of 2014-2020, which aims to support partnership and mobility in the educational sphere.
Among 140 projects recommended for funding by the European Union, 10 projects will be implemented with the participation of Ukrainian universities, associations and non-governmental organizations, enterprises, research institutes. In general, 43 partners from Ukraine will participate in projects implementation.
32 higher educational institutions of Ukraine will become the projects implementers. In particular, National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” will work on three projects. Four universities will be expected to complete two projects. These universities are Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, National Technical University of Ukraine “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. 27 more universities will complete one project each.
