We offer you the article “Export of educational services in the context of the National Strategy for the Development of Education in Ukraine until 2021” written by Professor G. Oborsky and docent of Odessa National Polytechnic University A. Saveliev.
In the article Ukraine is showed as a large exporter of educational services which is oriented on a wide range of market participants in the world. Ukraine’s share in the global export market of educational services is about 1.3 %. Despite Ukrainian government and number of universities being interested in this matter, today Ukraine faces a number of internal problems in this sphere.
Basically, it is the complexities of the organization of foreign students training, namely in the coordination between government institutions, in the system of encourage and support universities, in the field of immigration work, in the field of state standards in language teaching training, in the regulatory framework, in quality system of education services.
According to the problems mentioned they offer a list of goals, related areas of development and tasks concerning actualizing of educational services export with the view of “National Strategy for the Development of Education in Ukraine until 2021” № 344/2013 approved with the decree of the President in 2013.
In accordance with the stated goals of educational services export the main areas of development must be the following:
- active use of international approaches in the development of national
higher education;
- training of national staff in accordance with the priorities;
- support and encouraging of the participation of universities in
international projects;
- assistance in ensuring a comfortable stay of foreign citizens receiving
education in Ukraine in the framework of the state migration policy.
