On September 24-25 Igor Sikorsky KPI became a venue of a Workshop on Law Enforcement and CSIRT/CERT Cooperation in Cybercrime. The event was organized by the Cybercrime@EAP project team of Ukraine and supported by the Cybercrime@EAP 2018 project.
The Cybercrime@EAP 2018 project, implemented by the Cybercrime Programme Office of the Council of Europe, features a strong focus on public-private cooperation in cybercrime and electronic evidence. In the context of Ukraine, the project contributed greatly to the development of the regulatory framework for cooperation (procedural legislation and draft cooperation agreement).
The main aim of the event was to improve public/private cooperation regarding cybercrime and electronic evidence in the Eastern Partnership region.
Among the participants of the Workshop, there were representatives of Council of Europe, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State Security Service of Ukraine, State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and others.
The list of the topics discussed included strategic approach on cybersecurity and cybercrime, regulatory framework of cybersecurity, open-source intelligence, and threat analysis, best practices of joint operations with law enforcement and many other topics and subjects of interest to participants.
