Congratulations on the national holiday – the Constitution Day of Ukraine!

Dear colleagues!  We sincerely congratulate you on a significant national holiday for millions of compatriots – the Constitution Day of Ukraine!  As history tells us, overnight into June 28, 1996, as a result of almost twenty-four hours continuous work, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the Basic Law of the state, which is the Constitution of Ukraine. This valuable document in the state-building sense became a real and effective basis for building an independent democratic country as a full member of the world community.  May this solemn event, which opened wide prospects for Ukrainians for comprehensive development and personal self-realization, create the background for strengthening the national consciousness of the people, their consolidation on the way to civil society, fills us all with life-giving power, inspiration, encourages for innovative ideas and their successful implementation in the professional field.  Interesting facts about the Constitution of Ukraine  ● Every president of Ukraine takes an oath of allegiance to the people, laying his hands on the Constitution and the Peresopnytsia Gospel.  ● During 1990-1996, 15 drafts of the Constitution of Ukraine were proposed – from the Constitutional Commission, political parties and scholars.  ● The international community welcomed the adoption of the Constitution of Ukraine and recognized it as one of the most democratic in the world.  ● In 2011, the first miniature Constitution of Ukraine was presented – a book sized 2×3 cm. It contains 160 pages, and each letter is not more than 1 mm. The book weighs only 15 g. The miniature contained only one tenth of the text of the original. The author – graphic artist Igor Stepanov – spent about two months creating it.  ● In 2019, the electronic Constitution of Ukraine for children in the form of comics appeared on the Internet. The authors of the Constitution in comics were the Kapranov brothers, and the artist was Oleksandr Kostenko.  Read more on UNIAN: https://www.unian.ua/lite/holidays/den-konstituciji-ukrajini-2020-istoriya-cikavi-fakti-skilki-vidpochivatimemo-11047007.html
